Sir, – Roger Cole of the Peace and Neutrality Alliance (Letters, September 7th) complains that Irish neutrality is being “redefined” and says it was “a core value” of the 1916 rebels.
If so, who were the “gallant allies in Europe” mentioned in the Proclamation, and whose weapons made the Rising possible?
Mr Cole himself seems to be redefining neutrality. – Yours, etc,
