Sir, – Further to Mary Gallagher’s letter (July 31st) about churches in Donegal and lack of information about churches in general, I don’t know about other denominations but I would recommend anyone interested in stained glass to consult www.gloine.ie. This brilliant and informative website contains information on every stained-glass window throughout the Church of Ireland in the 32 counties. This invaluable (and illustrated) research was carried out by Dr David Lawrence, and funded by the Representative Church Body of the Church of Ireland, the Heritage Council, Northern Ireland Built Heritage, the Irish Georgian Society, and the All Churches Trust. Perhaps others might follow suit. – Yours, etc,
