Sir, – Further to recent correspondence (July 20th), I’m a Manchester United fan but a friend is a Spurs fan and has two season tickets for their stadium. He invited me to a Spurs v United match which “we” won 2-0.

Sir, – An elderly Galway acquaintance refuses to attend All-Ireland hurling finals as he has an entrenched belief that he will bring the team bad luck.
