Sir, – Over the last week, with the good weather, I have noticed tremendous work being done by litter-conscious communities in their high-vis jackets, gloves, pickers and bags, working to keep their areas clean. Huge thanks to them all but in particular to people who do this all year round, in their own quiet way cleaning our beaches, estates and roadsides.
It’s such a shame with all the teaching in schools, posters, projects, etc, that the message is still not getting through to some people to dispose of their rubbish responsibly. – Yours, etc,
