Sir, – The image of the Matterhorn is soon to disappear from the Toblerone chocolate bar(“Toblerone is barred from using Swiss mountain on its logo”, Business, March 3rd).
In moving production out of Switzerland, and thereby potentially not meeting the criteria of the Swissness Act of 2017, might I suggest an altogether better topographical improvement for the manufacturer? A simple rotation of the mountain’s image would have it as the Italian south face of the Matterhorn and chocolate lovers everywhere could be left to indulge in peace.
Buon appetito! – Yours, etc,
THEO RYAN,
