Sir, – Brian McBride was lucky to use the bus from the airport (Letters, December 7th).
On a recent return holiday from France, I decided to get the number 15 bus from Dublin airport to the city centre. A group of tourists were in the queue ahead of me to board the bus. They were presenting euro notes to the driver to pay the fare only to be told he accepted coins only.
They inquired if they could use credit cards as they did not have any coins.
The driver said he only took coins and asked them to leave the bus.
