Sir, – Róisín Ingle refers to the Encyclopedia Britannica as “our internet back in the day” (Life, November 23rd).

It was then sold door-to-door and bought on the never-never.

I obtained my set due to a fender-bender.

The offending driver offered his top-grade sample set of Britannica in place of insurance.
