Sir, – On November 5th, you published Carmen Callil’s (founder of Virago Press) obituary, which stated that “she had been helping to publicise Adam’s Rib, a new feminist magazine”. This magazine was actually called Spare Rib (1972-1993). I had a subscription to it and it was delivered to me in Galway in a brown envelope. No woman would call a feminist magazine after Adam, the architect of misogyny. – Yours, etc,
