Sir, – In just under three weeks’ time the JP McManus Pro Am is set to take place in Limerick.
I would hope Mr McManus has considered rescinding his invite to any player who is now lining their pockets with the blood money of the Saudi golf league.
At the very least I’d hope the crowd in attendance give these mercenaries the reception they deserve.

Sir, - Gary Rynhart (Letters, June 15th) is absolutely right when he says that this newspaper should not give coverage to the LIV golf tournaments. Publicity is the lifeblood of this sporstswashing project and if media outlets ignore it, the Saudis will soon tire of paying mercenaries millions of dollars to play in events that go unreported. – Yours, etc,
