Sir, – With the average age of first-time mothers at 32 (News, June 3rd), the average age of a first time great-grandparent, in the not-too-distant future, will be 96.
Sadly in my view, it seems that although we may live a little longer, family constellations including children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will soon be consigned to the history books. – Yours, etc,
