Sir, – Under the smokescreen of a reorganisation of your website and the distraction of a new visual layout, “An Irishman’s Diary” has disappeared to be replaced by “An Irish Diary”.
There has been no obituary to mark the column’s passing.
Is nothing sacred? – Yours, etc,
Dr JOHN DOHERTY,

Sir, – I suppose I will get used to the look of the new website. However, I will not get used to the change from “An Irishman’s Diary” and “An Irishwoman’s Diary” to “An Irish Diary”, which I assume has been done to avoid using those terrible swearwords “man” and “woman”. Please consider changing it back! – Yours, etc,
JOSEPH KERRIGAN,
