A Co Wicklow teenager has been jailed for one year for sexually assaulting a girl with whom he had a childhood romance. The now 17 year-old youth was found guilty by a jury following a four-day trial. He was convicted by a 10-1 majority of sexually assaulting the girl in 1996 when both were aged 13.
