The news that Pascal Bradley and Margaret Duffy are to close their 101 Talbot restaurant, on Dublin's Talbot Street, for lunch to concentrate on dinner, will come as a bombshell to the droves of folk who work around Talbot Street and who will likely throw their hands in the air, hang their heads and wonder just what on earth they will do now for good lunchtime food.
The simultaneous decisions by several long-serving staff members to explore the planet, head off and do charity work, go out and teach English as a foreign language and various other projects - and the fact that Pascal and Margaret have been working at full tilt for far too long - led to the decision.
But the move will allow them to work on and innovate the dinner menus, and to work also on an early bird menu for the near future. The new opening times are Tuesday-Saturday 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Tel: 01-8745011.
