The World Trade Organisation is expected to indicate by Friday how much trade compensation the European Union can obtain for the US export subsidies.
The subsidies were provided by the United States through its Foreign Sales Corporation legislation.
The EU claims up to $4 billion per year, but the United States says the subsidies did not exceed $956 million.
