Six pregnant women handcuffed themselves to beds in Dungannon's closed maternity unit yesterday. The women, some due to give birth soon, [NO ]vowed to said they would continue their protest until senior officials of the Southern Health Board agreed to meet them.

Following talks with three officials, they said the fight to save the unit would go on. About 20 women took part in the protest the day that the maternity unit at the south Tyrone hospital officially closed.
