A woman is recovering after being shot in the lower back at her house in the Greenpark Road in Bray at about 7.30pm yesterday evening.
The woman, who is in her late 40s, was hit by a shot that was fired through a window of the house. Gardaí are treating the shooting as a case of mistaken identity.
She was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin. The scene of the shooting was sealed off for a forensic examination.
