A woman has been jailed for one year for preparing and storing cannabis at her boyfriend's flat

A woman has been jailed for one year for preparing and storing cannabis at her boyfriend's flat. Amanda Hamilton (24), single, of Coultry Road, Ballymun, Dublin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two charges of having cannabis for sale and supply in 1996.

Det. Garda Marie Courtney told Ms Isobel Kennedy, prosecuting, that on June 26th, 1996, cannabis to the value of £2,500 was recovered in the boyfriend's flat. Some £500 worth of cannabis was also recovered in the flat some months later.
