A woman who died in hospital after a two-car collision in Co Tipperary has been named as Ms Kathleen Ryan (44), of Freigh, Newport. She was the driver of a car in which a woman passenger was injured. The passenger has not been named i and has been described as very seriously ill in Limerick Regional Hospital. The driver of the other car, a Co Limerick man, was later released from hospital.
The accident happened at Shower, Newport, at 5.15 p.m. on Wednesday on the main Limerick to Newport road.
