Witnesses are being sought to a fatal car crash which occurred near Swinford in Co Mayo this afternoon.
A woman in her 20s died as a result of injuries sustained when her car collided with a truck and a minibus at the N5 junction with the Old Castlebar Road at about 1.10pm.
A Garda spokesman said the driver of the mini bus was taken to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar with injuries described as minor. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The N5 has been partly closed while the scene of the crash is examined.
"Traffic is being diverted at Bohola on the Castlebar side and at the Kiltimagh turn on the Swinford side," the Garda spokesman said.
