A 25-year-old woman fell from a balcony in an apartment block in Parnell Street, Dublin, in the early hours of yesterday morning. Two gardai on local patrol called an ambulance, which brought her to the Mater Hospital.
Gardai said she suffered severe injuries in the fall and died four hours after being brought to the hospital.
