A woman was killed last night when she was struck by a southbound DART train in Dublin 4.
A Garda spokeswoman said the woman was struck by the train on the level crossing near Serpentine Avenue, and attempts by ambulance crew to resuscitate her failed.
The name of the woman, who is believed to be around 30, has not been released.
And in the North, a man was killed after being struck by a train on the line between Antrim and Ballymena last night.

Around 50 people were on the train at the time.
A spokeman for Translink said the driver had done all he could to try and stop the train.
