A woman is being treated in hospital in Dublin after suffering serious burns in a fire at a city-centre flat this morning.

A woman is being treated in hospital in Dublin after suffering serious burns in a fire at a city-centre flat this morning.

The woman in her forties suffered serious burns after a fire broke out on the second floor of the Mary Aikenhead flats, off St James' Street, shortly after midnight.She was brought to St James' Hospital where her condition is described as critical.An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
