Tuesday, November 14th: National one-day strike in 620 secondary schools where ASTI is represented.
November 14th onward: Teachers withdraw from school-yard supervision and from providing short-term cover for absent colleagues on three or more days' leave. School managers likely to close schools and/or advise parents to keep students at home on health and safety grounds.
Early December: Further national one-day strike action.
January: ASTI executive meets to consider possible escalation of industrial action including possible disruption of Leaving and Junior Certs.
