West Cork road warning

Icy roads in west Cork were in a dangerous condition yesterday and motorists were warned to be very careful. For a second day there was compacted snow on many of the roads west of Bandon and a layer of ice made them treacherous. Cork city and most of the rest of the county escaped the icy conditions yesterday, but Gardai warned motorists to be cautious as roads in some remote areas were icy.
