The former Polish Mr Lech Walesa, is considering resuming his job at Gdansk shipyard where he once worked as an electrician, the yard's Solidarity leader said yesterday. "I think his resolve to resume work at the yard has been decided", Mr Stanislaw Borowezak said.
Mr Walesa had the flu and was unavailable for comment.
Mr Walesa, whose Solidarity movement led to the collapse of communism in 1989, stepped down last month after defeat by ex communist Mr Aleksander Kwasniewski in a presidential poll.
