Jakarta - Indonesian legislators told embattled President Abdurrahman Wahid yesterday he should do a better job, but eased pressure on the leader by delaying a debate over why he fired two economic ministers.

The President stunned parliament last Thursday when he answered a summons to explain the sackings but then refused to give details. He later apologised.
