French media group Vivendi Universal said today it had started legal proceedings against Deutsche Telekom for €2

French media group Vivendi Universal said today it had started legal proceedings against Deutsche Telekom for €2.2 billion in damages from the German phone carrier.

Vivendi said the damages were to compensate for the losses it had suffered from its indirect investment in Polish operator PTC.

Vivendi and Deutsche Telekom are embroiled in a long-standing row over their investment in PTC.
