Film maker Neil Jordan has arranged a special screening on January 19th of the Michael Collins film for 150 visually impaired people who live in Munster. It has been organised at the request of Kanturk organic pig farmer and poet Seamus Hogan whose mother has been visually impaired for 12 years.

"I invited her to see the film with me and she said there was no point as she wouldn't enjoy it without knowing what the action was between dialogue. She said she would disturb everyone around if she had to keep asking what was happening and what Kitty Kiernan was wearing. It was then I got the idea of asking Neil Jordan for a special screening with interpreters who will commentate on the action as it is appropriate."
