Viewers in the Republic will be able to vote in the second series of Big Brother, now on Channel 4.
The move follows criticisms that most Irish fans of the programme were "disenfranchised" during the first series, in which Dubliner Anna Nolan finished runner-up.
Viewers can nominate the person they wish to see evicted by ringing a series of premium-rate phone numbers. A menu of the numbers is available at freefone 1800 768 768.
