The woman who died in a road traffic collision in Co Down yesterday has been named.

The woman who died in a road traffic collision in Co Down yesterday has been named.

She was Patricia 'Tish' Coughlan (40) from Warrenpoint, Co Down.

The accident happened at Cloughmor in Warrenpoint, Co Down, view shortly before 6:45 pm yesterday evening.

The PSNI said one car was involved in the collision.

It is believed the woman may have been involved in a freak accident and was struck by her own car which was empty at the time.

Police are investigating the possibility she may have been killed trying to stop the car from moving off.

"All the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated," said a PSNI spokeswoman.
