A jury said it had reached a unanimous verdict last night in the trial of a Dublin youth accused of murder. It will give its verdict to the Central Criminal Court today.

Mr Alan Lyons (19) has admitted killing Mr David Watson, a 21-year-old Liverpool man working in Dublin, in a stabbing on Thomas Street in April 1998, but he has denied murdering him.

Mr Watson had fallen asleep at the wheel of his parked van when it was set upon by local youths, including Mr Lyons.
