Buenos Aires - Vandals smashed tombs and monuments in a Buenos Aires Jewish cemetery on Christmas Eve for the second year in a row, cemetery officials said yesterday. More than 30 tombs were smashed and photographs of the dead defaced during the night. Argentina, home to one of the world's largest Jewish communities, has seen two bloody and unsolved attacks against Jews in the past five years. A bomb destroyed the Israeli embassy and killed 29 people in 1992 and another explosion razed the AMIA Jewish community centre in Buenos Aires, killing 86.
