Louis van Gaal will return to Barcelona as manager next season, the club confirmed today.
The Dutch coach won two league titles in three seasons with the Spanish giants from 1997 to 2000.
He then coached the Dutch national team but failed to qualify for the World Cup finals after losing 1-0 to the Republic of Ireland at Lansdowne Road.
Van Gaal will be officially unveiled as the club's next manager on Friday.
