A US transport plane was forced to land at Shannon this afternoon after
reporting fumes in the cockpit.
The plane was returning to Massachusetts from a military base in Germany when the pilots reported technical difficulties.
The plane was given permission to land at Shannon where fire brigade units from Shannon and Ennis stood by as a precaution.
