The US embassy in the United Arab Emirates said this morning it had suspended operations because of what it called a specific threat.
The embassy gave no further details.
"The embassy in (the UAE capital) Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai have temporarily suspended operations for Wednesday, March 24th, in light of a specific threat to the embassy in Abu Dhabi," the embassy said in a statement.
