One of two US soldiers who went missing in Afghanistan was a captive of the Taliban and the other had been killed, a spokesman for the insurgents said today.
The Taliban leadership would decide later on the fate of the captive, Zabihullah Mujahid told by phone from an undisclosed location.
The two US servicemen were reported missing on Friday after failing to return in a vehicle they had taken from their compound in Kabul, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said today.
