A man wanted in the United States over a car crash that killed three students is to bring a High Court challenge to his extradition tomorrow.
Frederick David Russell (27), who went on the run for four years after being charged in connection with the fatal car crash, is wanted to stand trial for the deaths in Washington State.
The crash occurred on the Moscow-Pullman highway in June 2001. Mr Russell was arrested but disappeared when due to face trial.
He first fled to Canada before flying to England and going on the run across western Europe, eventually settling in Ireland.
He was arrested by gardaí while working as a security man at a store in Dublin's city centre.
Detectives had received a tip-off that Mr Russell was working in the clothes shop after his details were published on the US Marshals' "15 Most Wanted" list.
When the case came before him today, Mr Justice Michael Peart listed it case for hearing in the High Court tomorrow.
