Pristina - Internal investigators dispatched from New York are inquiring into 27 alleged cases of fraud, mismanagement and abuse of authority by United Nations staff from the UN mission in Kosovo, or UNMIK, Christian Jennings writes.

"This is a fraud-rich environment," said UN spokeswoman Ms Susan Manuel in Pristina. The Office of Internal Oversight Services was investigating 27 or more allegations, including misuse of resources.
