Alan Solomons' Ulster will feature two changes from the side that hammered Caerphilly last weekend for Sunday's visit to Northampton's Franklin Gardens in the Heineken Cup Pool 6 opener.

Irish under-21 wing Scott Young, who made his first start for the province in the 67-15 rout of Caerphilly, makes way for James Topping while Shane Stewart comes in for the concussed Ryan Constable in the Ulster midfield.

Solomons cited Young's lack of experience as the reason for dropping the 21-year-old with Topping, who missed out last week through injury, cutting a more imposing figure.

"Scott is a very good player but James has more experience and is a bigger man physically - this is important because he'll be up against Ben Cohen who is a very powerful player" explained the Ulster coach.
