A 31 year old man is recovering in hospital in Belfast from a vicious beating believed to have been carried out by the loyalist paramilitary organisation, the Ulster Defence Association (UDA).
The man was taken from a house in the Rathcoole estate, north of Belfast, at around midnight on Saturday and beaten with baseball bats.
