Moscow - Russian tycoon Mr Boris Berezovsky said yesterday that a Kremlin threat of imprisonment had forced him to relinquish control of the country's most-viewed television network, ORT.

In a letter to President Vladimir Putin, Mr Berezovsky said he was handing over his ORT stake to network journalists after administration officials told him he could otherwise go to jail.
