Equestrian: Billy Twomey rounded off his successful week at the Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham with victory in last night's Grand Prix.

Drawn third in the six-horse jump-off, the 31-year-old Cork-born rider and his eight year-old stallion Je Taime Flamenco bettered the times set by Britain's Michael Whitaker (Insul Tech Wonami van den Aard) and Ben Maher (Robin Wood W). He was then left in pole position when the trio following all put poles on the floor.

Twomey, who is based in Cheshire, won two classes earlier in the week with Carron Nicol's Fantasia.
