Two US soldiers were wounded today when their convoy struck a mine on a bridge in central Baghdad.
The army convoy was heading over the Jamhuriya Bridge, which spans the Tigris river, when it hit an explosive device, an army spokesman said.
It was the latest in daily guerrilla attacks on US soldiers in Iraq that Washington blames on fighters loyal to ousted leader Saddam Hussein.
Sixty-seven US and 11 British soldiers have been killed since President George W. Bush declared major combat over on May 1st.
