Two American soldiers have died after two armoured vehicles collided during a military exercise in South Korea.

Two American soldiers have died after two armoured vehicles collided during a military exercise in South Korea.

The accident occurred at the Korea Training Centre in Pocheon, near the border between South Korea and North Korea.

Seven other American soldiers were injured. Two of the injured were released after treatment; the rest remained hospitalised in stable condition.

The US Army Safety Center said it is investigating the accident.

The US keeps 37,000 troops in South Korea.
