Two men have been hospitalised after being shot as they walked down a road in the west Dublin community of Clonsilla.
The pair were walking on Clonsilla Road when shots were discharged from a black car, which had approached them at around 6.15 p.m.
Both men have been taken to James Connolly Memorial hospital, where their condition is described as 'non-life threatening'.
Gardai have closed the scene and surrounding area for technical examination.
