Two men stole an undisclosed sum of money in a post office raid in Carlow town this morning.
The incident happened at around 11am when two men, armed with a sledgehammer and a knife, entered the post office on Staplestown Road in the town. They threatened two female members of staff.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
