Two men are in custody after gardaí seized guns, drugs and cash.
Gardaí from the North Central Drugs unit searched a house in Connaught Street last night.
They seized a quantity of heroin and cash and found a 9mm semi automatic pistol, a sawn-off shotgun and a Garda radio.
All items have been removed for technical examination. The quantity of heroin or amount of cash seized in not yet known.
The men are being detained at Store Street Garda Station for questioning under Section 2 Drug Trafficking Act where they can be held for up to seven days.
