Two men have died in crashes in Limerick and Wexford.

The 74-year-old man died when his car went out of control and crashed into a ditch at 10.15am on the R512 at Ballinstona, Bruff, Co Limerick. There was nobody else in the car when it crashed.

Earlier, at 7.35am a 38-year-old man died when the car he was driving was in collision with an articulated truck in Ballyrankin, Bunclody, Co Wexford. He was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man (28) died last night when his motorcycle was in a collision with a car on the Ballymullock road near Larne, Co Antrim. The crash happened at 7.10pm. The driver of the car was not injured.

Elsewhere, gardaí have named the motorcyclist who died in a road crash in Co Kerry yesterday. Shane Crickard (20) of Kilmore, Ballyduff died when the bike he was driving collided with a van yesterday morning.

The crash occurred on the R551 at Ballynoe, Causeway at 8.30am.
