Two motorcyclists have been killed in accidents in Counties Cavan and Limerick.

At 10.10pm last night a 26-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided head-on with a car at Ballybrown, Clarina, outside Limerick City.

The driver of the car was seriously injured.

Meanwhile, shortly after a quarter past ten last night, a motorcyclist in his teens hit an embankment at Legaginny, Ballinagh, five miles south of Cavan Town and died.
