Two Irish entries have won medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Two Irish entries have won medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Diarmuid Gavin won a silver award for his Hanover Quay Garden, created in conjunction with 15 competition winners from RTE's Marian Finucaneprogramme.

Following the show, the garden will be transported to Dublin to become the permanent garden at the new Hanover Quay apartment complex in Dublin's docklands.

Elma Fenton of Ellen Landscape Designs in Kildare also won a silver award for her Moat & Castle garden.

The eco-friendly design included a pool, a shelter pavilion, an orchard and sculpted landforms reflecting natural valleys and plateaus.
